Paul Morrison, DPT

Paul has practiced physical therapy for 9+ years, working in the outpatient orthopedic setting his entire career. He has a Bachelor’s degree in pre-medicine and exercise physiology from Montana State University and earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Montana in 2006. Paul is a certified Pilates instructor through Polestar Pilates®, a certified ASTYM® provider, and is currently pursuing manual therapy certification through the North American Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy (NAIOMT). He has extensive experience working with athletes of many sports, including endurance sports (triathlon, running, cycling), skiing, football, basketball, soccer, golf, rugby, and dance. He was the primary physical therapist for Ballet West for the 2014-2015 season.
Paul’s primary goal during treatment is not to simply treat the pain and help his patients to feel better, but to identify and treat the underlying cause of the problem, in addition to providing education for how the patient can self-manage their issues and hopefully keep the problem from returning. He wants to provide a proactive, holistic treatment approach that encourages his patients to achieve and maintain healthy lifestyles throughout the lifespan.
Outside of work, Paul competes extensively in triathlon and running events. He completed his first full Ironman in 2014, and has also finished six 1/2-Ironman events and five marathons. He is currently training for his second Ironman event in Coeur d’Alene, ID in August 2016. He also enjoys skiing, traveling, and spending time with his wife, Lindsey and playing with his two dogs. He is an avid Montana State Bobcats and Boise State Broncos fan, and is involved heavily with the Salt Lake Triathlon Club.
