Worker’s Compensation makes getting treatment easy
The initial evaluation of the employee includes specific job duties and requirements. At Advanced Motion Physical Therapy, the primary goal of treatment is that the employee will return to work as soon as possible. Proper lifting, bending, and other job specific body mechanics are instructed until employee demonstrates proficiency.
The treatment plan can include improving flexibility, endurance, strength, coordination and balance. The physical therapist will often teach the employee exercises to be done at home that are specifically designed for the employee type of injury. This will include educating the employee on how to avoid re-injury and in how to avoid injury caused by repetitive motion. Physical therapy is normally less expensive than the alternative approach of surgery and is definitely less invasive.
There are many work related injuries that would benefit from physical therapy. These may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Back & neck pain & injury
- Carpal tunnel
- Foot pain & injury
- Sprains & strains
- Hip & knee pain & injury
- Post-surgical care
- Shoulder & elbow pain & injury
A functional work tolerance test may be performed in the clinic. This provides accurate information regarding employee’s abilities for returning to work (push/pull/lift). We accept all workers’ compensation insurance plans according to the Utah Labor Commission rates and laws. Spanish speaking therapist is available.
To accommodate employee’s work schedules, Advanced Motion Physical Therapy is open before and after regular business hours, including lunchtime. Our hours are Monday,Wednesday,Friday, 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. and Tuesday,Thursday, 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
