DRY NEEDLING

Target muscle pain and tension to help you move more comfortably and get back to the activities you enjoy.

DRY NEEDLING AS PART OF YOUR RECOVERY

Pain, muscle tightness, and limited mobility can make everyday movement, exercise, and recreational activities more difficult. At Advanced Motion Physical Therapy, dry needling may be used as part of an individualized treatment plan to help address muscular pain and movement limitations.

Dry needling involves inserting a thin, sterile needle into targeted muscles or trigger points identified during your physical therapy evaluation. Your Doctor of Physical Therapy considers your symptoms, movement patterns, strength, and mobility to determine whether dry needling may be appropriate for your care.

Dry needling is not used as a stand-alone treatment. We combine it with movement education, corrective exercise, strengthening, and other physical therapy techniques to help improve function and support lasting progress.

HOW DRY NEEDLING SUPPORTS YOUR TREATMENT

Your treatment is based on your individual needs, movement, and goals—not just where you feel pain.

1

Targeted Treatment

Dry needling allows your therapist to target muscles and areas of tension that may be contributing to pain, stiffness, or restricted movement.

2

Improve Mobility & Movement

Dry needling may help reduce muscle tension and improve mobility, creating an opportunity to work on healthier and more comfortable movement patterns.

3

Corrective Exercise & Strength

Following dry needling, corrective exercise and strengthening help reinforce movement improvements and build the strength needed for work, exercise, sports, and everyday activities.

MORE THAN TEMPORARY PAIN RELIEF

At Advanced Motion Physical Therapy, our goal is not simply to treat where it hurts. We evaluate how you move to identify strength deficits, mobility restrictions, muscular imbalances, and movement patterns that may be contributing to your symptoms.

When appropriate, dry needling can be incorporated into a broader treatment program that includes hands-on care, corrective exercise, functional movement training, and patient education.

This approach helps turn improvements in pain and mobility into meaningful changes in how you move and function.

PERSONALIZED CARE BUILT AROUND YOU

Every patient has different symptoms, movement patterns, and goals. Your Doctor of Physical Therapy will evaluate your condition and determine whether dry needling is appropriate as part of your individualized plan of care.

Whether your goal is to move more comfortably at work, return to exercise or sports, or simply enjoy everyday activities with less discomfort, your treatment is designed to help you improve function and regain confidence in movement.

MOVE FORWARD WITH LESS PAIN

Don't let muscle pain, tightness, or restricted movement keep you from the activities you enjoy. Let Advanced Motion Physical Therapy help you improve movement, restore function, and get your life back in motion.
